Household items and bargains galore at Eco-Flea Market

The College of Economics held their 6th Eco-Flea Market on Friday, April 19. The flea market features new and used goods donated by teachers and staff. Although the flea market is aimed primarily at international students starting their new life in Japan, anyone is welcome to turn up and shop. With no item costing more than 1000 yen, there are always great bargains to be had. In the past, TVs, fridges and even a brand-new iPod have been sold. This year, a Fuji digital camera, still in the box, was on offer - and quickly snapped up.

All proceeds from the flea market are used for charity purposes related tointernationalization in Japan. To date, over 100,000 yen has been made from the flea markets. The organisers express their sincere thanks to all the staff, teachers and students who make the event such a success.
